Things to take with you:

• Torch
• Mosquito protection
• Firm shoes
• On the island there is no bancomat and no tobacco shop
• Your luggage or major shopping can be brought up by mule - please let us know in advance and we will make the arrangements.

Train / Plane

• Through Catania: from Catania Airport you take a direct bus to Milazzo porto (final destination). This direct connection exists only during summertime. Further info Giuntabus
• Whole year Shuttle from Catania Airport to Milazzo porto with Alibrando
• From Milazzo to Alicudi by ferry Siremar or by Aliscafo Liberty Lines
• Through Palermo: Recommended only during summertime. Take the airport express to the harbour. Take tha aliscafo to Alicudi. Liberty Lines This connection is only during summertime.
• Take the train to Milazzo, take the taxi to the port (quite a long walk)

Ferry

• Take the train to Naples. Take the ferry from Naples to Salina Siremar and change to the aliscafo for Alicudi.

If you stay in the casa al Vallone we will pick you up at the port. You have time to do some shopping. The mule can bring up your luggage and shopping for 20€. We will show you the house. 

To Pianicello it takes 45-60 minutes just walking. After arrival you can do some shopping. You can leave everything in the shop and the mule could carry up everything for 50€.

• the blue way goes to the Vallone and San Bartolo. Circa 50 meters before the church San Bartolo (altitude 370 meters) you turn left in direction to Pianicello.
• the red path goes straight to Pianicello.
