| Alicudi, the unspoilt mediterranean island: „l’ultimo paradiso“
Alicudi is the western-most island of the Liparian
Archipelago, and at 5.1 km² also the smallest. It's steep volcanic
cone is only accessible by stairs and footpaths. This makes for
the extraordinarily unspoilt character of the island: no cars, clean
air and amazing views are the backdrop of a very special, unhurried
holiday.
For 20 years, Holger and Beate Stark have been
living here, making the island their home. Holger Stark is an inspired
builder who restores the old and ruined farm houses of the island
to their former glory. Together, they let some of these houses as
holiday accommodation.
